It costs about a quarter to feed a child a hot, nutritious meal. The children at the mobile schools live on the streets or in extreme destitution where malnutrition is epidemic. GNCEM provides all their students a snack when they arrive at school and a hearty meal before they leave. This prevents the children from begging for food and allows them to learn without hunger pains.
